Synopsis

Khoya Khoya Chand is yet another film based on vintage Bollywood, sigh.
The film Khoya Khoya Chand rotates around a beautiful background dancer Nikhat (Soha Ali Khan) who is determined and ready to make any compromises to become a star in the industry. Superstar Prem Kumar (Rajat Kapoor) gets impressed by Nikhat's talents and decides to give her a break by launching her as his latest discovery. But Prem, a man of having many relationships, breaks Nikhat's heart by getting married somebody else. In these circumstances she finds a shoulder to cry on in Zafar (Shiney Ahuja) who is a struggling writer waiting to get a chance in Prem’s film. Soon Zafar and Nikhat start having a passionate affair that doesn’t remain a secret for a long time. But despite being deeply in love with Zafar, Nikhat chooses to follow her dreams and allows herself to be exploited by industry big shots like Prem. On the other hand Zafar too tries to pursue his own directorial debut but fails and is moved into a life of anonymity. What happens later, forms the plot of Khoya Khoya Chand.

Synopsis

Almost after a decade, a surprising phone call trembles Dia (Madhuri Dixit) out of her dance rehearsal in New York. Makarand (Darshan Zariwala), who was herr teacher, her guru in dance, is dying and because of this she must return to Shamli town.This is the town where she grew up. It is also the town where she learnt to live and to dance. Also is the town where she left on an impetus, severing relations with her parents and her people.

It is a affecting and troubled return to her; not only has her guru passed away but the institution that he so lovingly ans carefully nurtured is in bad condition and under threat of demolition. It is the Ajanta theatre, the once vivacious hub of the community, is the place where Dia’s loving memories are enrooted must now be destoryed because the local political authorities in the area feel that it is a waste of prime real estate. With the help of hardworking Doctor (Raghubir Yadav), the present caretaker of Ajanta, Dia sets out on a noble mission to avoid the destruction and regain the lost spirit of Ajanta. There is an atmosphere of mistrust, ridicule and active hostility, but Dia still takes up the challenge and decides to achieve the nearly impossible task of bringing together a theatrical production. For this she must also be sure that each and every member of the production is from Shamli town. Dia has only two months to prove herself and save the theatre or the bulldozers will be waiting.

In this context begins her disruptive journey of dealing with small town preconceptions, also encountering the resentment of the powerful contractor, the cynicism of the local political powers, solutions to resolve the delicate tensions of inter personal relationships and encourage her potpourri team of non starters - a low level muscle Imran (Kunal Kapoor), the local tomboy Anokhi (Konkona Sen Sharma), local ex-MLA Chaudhary Om Singh (Akhilendra Mishra), a vulnerable tea stall owner Mohan Sharma (Ranvir Shorey), a responsible government official Mr. Chojar (Vinay Pathak), a struggling insurance agent Sanjeev Mehta (Jugal Hansraj), the town vagabond Dhankuber (Nowaz) and a host of others in the scene. She must struggle in this chaos in order to save Ajanta, in order to preserve what her guru so carefully nurtured. She must create art in order to preserve what Dia believes is the soul of society. Synopsis

In this film Southall United football club is having difficult times and is going through a major crisis. Suprisingly this team has no star footballers, no sponsors, no spectators and most suprisingly, no coach. Yet, the members are in hope that the club will win the cup this year.

Anne, who works for the Southall council, along with Johnny Patel, a sports commentator, tries to grab a large piece of land that belongs to the club.

Together, they highlight and bring out the club's poor performance and also threaten them that their land will be taken away from them, unless their performance improve.

But Devi Dhariwal, the owner of the club, hopes to save the land from the greed of Anne and Johnny Patel by winning the cup thos year.

Hanif, the captain of Southall United, hopes that they could win by playing his last trump card and that is to bring in a well known ex-player to coach them for the tournament.

And then, there is Sunny Bhasin (John Abraham) who hopes to become a member of a top team and play premiership football - the dream of every aspiring British footballer.

He also gains moral support all the way from his close friends Bipasha Basu, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. In this film all the characters fight the battle of hope through relationships, pride and their dreams.

Will the coach be able to manage his team together? How does Sunny become part of this team? And most importantly, will the club win the football title and save the ground?

Saawariya

Saawariya is a sincere love story with a great musical touch to it giving full credit to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his unique innovation. This is a beautifully crafted storyline with great music and i fear that this film is going to sweep all the filmstar awards this season.

The new actors Ranbir Kapoor (Raj) and Sonam Kapoor (Sakina) gives a unique and fresh feeling to this film. Both actors have given a splendid performance. Ranbir Kapoor is a brilliant dancer and an great actor. So also Sonam, she matches Ranbir in all fields of excellence. With gorgeous looks, she performs her role with brilliance as the one who is looking for her love to return.

This story, inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky's short story, "White Nights" is about a happy go lucky guy Raj and Sakina narrated by Gulabjee (Rani Mukherjee).The movie is about Raj who meets Sakina on a bridge one night.They both become good friends after starting apprehension from Sakina. They meet the next night also and that's when Raj realises that he is deeply and madly in love with her.But even before he could propose to the girl, she tells him about her lover Imaan (Salman Khan) for whom she waits every night on the bridge , for he had promised to return on EID which is just 2 days away.

Raj is completely shocked and still tries to impress her.Finally the D-Day comes and while Sakina waits for Imaan, Raj asks her to a dinner and then asks her to spend some more time for which she refuses as she has to get to the bridge for Imaan.

Does Imaan return? Will Raj be able to attract Sakina?

Om Prakash Makhija (Shahrukh Khan) is a junior artist wishing to become a famous superstar one day and always live life of luxury and comfort. Om is a die hard fan and a quitely loves popular actress Shanti Priya (Deepika Padukone). In this film his mother and Papu (Shreyas Talpade) are the only confident and true believers of Om's talent. A fire accident during one of the shooting sets brings Shanti to Om face to face. As Om finds happiness and satisfaction he also finds out an secrete truth of Shanti being married to film producer Mukesh Mehra (Arjun Rampal) who kills her after Shanti admits her pregnancy to Mukesh. As a witness to this crime of Mukesh, Om gets brutally killed in a fight with Mehra’s men.

Om Prakash reborns back to the world now as Om Kapoor, who is also a star-kid. Om Kapoor now is all set to take revenge on Mehra for killing his beloved Shanti.
